  • Use hairspray before putting on your contacts or close your eyes while spraying
  • Bring rewetting drops because the air in airplanes and airports can dry out your eyes.

  • Remove your lenses before napping on the flight.
  • Do not wear your contact lenses while swimming to reduce the effect of ocular infection.
  • If you do mistakenly wear your contact lenses while swimming, throw out that pair and replace it with a fresh, new pair.
  • Follow the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes, rest your eyes for 20 seconds by staring at an object 20 feet away.
  • Do not sit too close to your computer screen. Site far enough away so you can't touch the screen.
  • Avoid having a light source directly in front or behind you.
